10 Hilarious Happenings in the Life of a Working Mum

Wow!
Is tomorrow holiday?

This is the first reaction of none other than a working mum on hearing an unexpected, non gazetted holiday. Working Offs are the blessings for the mums who are on their heels all week round whether they used to work from home or supporting the family by some 9 to 5 job. In both cases the major load of work share falls on the weak shoulders of a mum.

Here are some funny peeps from the the life of a working mum.

Forgetful Mama:
Mornings are the most energy testing time for the family when everyone is running to get ready to reach their workplace on time. Mums who drive to their workplace themselves, often forget to put the mobile(or some other important thing.....) in their bag and reaching the midway they got to remember that  Oh ! My mobile was on the table. Now they rush back to the home, tic tacking with high heels, nearly falling to grasp the phone with an extended hand and than again racing to the car to get back to work.

Taking Selfies:
Yeah! you enjoy having selfies not only alone but with your children around, on your shoulder, pulling your cloths. Kids get tired of saying "cheese" for capturing the perfect moment but you go on. then you share the most random pic within your social circle and add a feather to your family pic scene. Don't care if it appears upside down.

Weight Watching:
Mums especially those working in corporate environment are obsessed with their looks and weight but on every holiday, believe me, every day off, they plan to dine out with the family forgetting the sweaty run on the tread mill last week. Go on Mama.

Kids Attack:
As soon a mum stepped into the home, before getting hugs and kisses, her bag is attacked by the kids vigorously searched  for any type of goodies, leftover sweets. Don't forget to buy a handful of smarties on the way home to catch the unexpected grin of your sweetie pie.

Sleep Dilemma:
Every mum must have experienced this that as soon as they are about to fall in deep sleep, the baby starts crying in high pitch voice giving you goose bumps. Now the next morning you woke up with the heavy eyes, half closed, rush to the kitchen for the mistake of  bathroom and suddenly realized this before its too late.

My Bag , My Treasure:
Most working mums like me never allow anybody to sneak peep into my hand bag as it is full of baby accessories like Bibs, Diapers, ready made Food etc. Most of the time it is turned into a heavy balloon and needs a man's space to sit, gaining people's stares.

Missing the Right Pair:
Whenever you see a woman with wrong pair of shoes or socks, don't laugh. It is reliable proof of being a working mum. You should rather run to greet her and acknowledge her effort.

Eating Disorder:
Whenever a mom gets the golden opportunity to sit down peacefully for the lunch, the kid screams to have to go for the potty. There you go, getting up half way from the lunch as you have to accompany your sweetie pie to the toilet and wait for another 10 minutes while the food on the table simply gets cold.

Day out:
Till late night, you planned to have a great weekend spending time with your kids visiting the local park which had a grand opening just a month ago, when you informed this to your kids, they get excited too and eagerly waiting for that day.But as soon as the day arrived, the weather go bad ruining all your plans. You just end up staring from the window with the kids around.

Editor at Home:
If you are a WAHM(working at home mom) you get this rare moment to catch a glimpse of your blog post, a kid appears from nowhere (read under the bed) on start clicking the keyboard with all fingers and you get this s;';.,,apsdm...mmmmmmmmm.';;0998766&^^%$%
Don't dare to stop him otherwise you are responsible for the consequences.

Do set goals, make plans. Work hard to make your dreams come true, but don't be stubborn, have a loose grip on them.
Trust that life will carry you to your true path, cherish those little moments of joy as these golden moments of seeing your kids grow will soon become your cherished memories.

Side effect of the marriage..... A funny experience.

Aww! It was such an incident which keeps amusing me till now.

Actually it was the visit of my beloved friend who happened to be in my town for the honeymoon sort of thing plus visiting the kin.

Now you must be wondering what is funny about it?. Actually they are labeled as the most stunning couple of the year so everyone including yours truly is also impressed by their looks and almost dying to host them. After pressing too much they nearly agreed to show up the next day, but to our disappointment, they were unable to make but promised for the next Friday. As they were in the A list, we obliged despite my hubby’s business engagement that day.

As I happened to be the only one to look after the arrangements from the Groceries to the Cooking, the Dining table arrangements to the Washrooms cleaning, my Adrenaline starts rising. It was a very busy week bringing everything to the perfection but every time a new problem pops up and reminding me of my human.

At last the grand finale (the day of the feast) arrived and nothing was short of perfection as I had put my heart and soul into it.

The guests when arrived as usual in full bloom. The smartness and the attire of the couple was killing. Soon the wife accompanied me to the lounge and began pouring her travel adventures but I was unable to track what she is muttering as I was mesmerized by her gorgeous looks, making me visit down the memory lane regarding my looks in the initial years of marriage. I only came back when her husband called her to leave.

Oh my god! How can I forgot the dinner?

Now I hurry up to arrange the whole lot of dishes which I prepared out of sheer love. But not to my amazement, they just took a bit of everything which is the truly the secret of their Smartness and Sleekness. After a brief chit chat they insisted to leave without meeting my hubby.

Late night when my hubby showed up, I immediately opened the Pandora box of the whole meet up insisting on the couples impressive looks making him realize that he missed a great deal.

The days gone by and I become engaged with the kids and all changing into a distant memory.
A couple of days back when I happened to visit the local arena, a women in a well fitted gown give me a tight hug leaving me in an awe who she was? When she disclosed her identity I was about to faint. She was the same young lady whom I invited for the dinner a year ago as a newlywed. She has not only changed but to my astonishment has completely turned into an aunti sort of thing... I felt ashamed that I was unable to recognize her but gladly she doesn’t mind.

My husband was constantly laughing during the whole journey back home as he was also mocked by my picture of that couple and the reality. I keep insisting him that she was totally different a year before but he was not believing me. Truly speaking, I must be in the same lane if I haven’t met the couple a year ago.

This is the most common side effect of the marriage. As soon as the Honeymoon period is over, all those smart attires have been locked in the wardrobe replaced by the baggy loose comfy dresses hiding the excessive fat pockets. Why women so negligent of themselves needs another post......

This funny experience makes me quote that a lady finger transformed into a potato with only a contract called Marriage.
Can anyone of you relate the same?

Mommy's Dream: An Unforgettable Journey

Asalamoalikum/Good Morning

Baby
There was fun & excitement in the air. Everybody was gay and happy as we were going to experience our first ever journey of the train with our very dear kids. We & kids have made lot of plans for the journey as we want to enjoy every bit of this, like Playing board games and catching Views of the amazing world outside the window.

It was like a dream come true, actually our beloved aunt who lives in a distant city, has been inviting us for long to her place but due to the busy schedules we are unable to join.So after we all decided to catch the train early in the morning.

The day before the departure was a very busy day. I and hubby were busy packing up our things to avoid last minute baste. I, additionally have to kept the kids accessories, trying to put them in every nook & corner of the luggage. As we cant afford to carry  heavy  bags because our kids are quite enough to be looked after rather than carrying of the luggage. After a hefty day collecting, packing and keeping things in the bag we are about to lie down on our bed at night.
Then what happened  which we dreaded the most
'Oh My God' the little one got up. Now another night with full of happenings awaits us. As soon we put her to sleep she gets up after a while. After any one of us leave our bed to comfort her. this stand up lie down cycle continue the whole night. We can see our dream of wonderful journey going down the drain. We turned off the alarm and wake up other kids to get for the station, this is another courageous story to be told later.
Baby's Day Out

After collecting our energies, we rush to the station half drowsy half awake. Thanks God, we board on the right train and instantly fell on sleep after getting the seats. We remain in the sweet dreams the whole journey only to be woken up by the neighboring passenger on the train when the destination arrived.
